Steve Meyer is a rental property investor and insurance expert. He writes for the Real Life Planning blog on insurance for real estate investors. 

Steve spent 35 years setting rates and reserves in the insurance industry. During that time he was a frequent speaker at a variety of industry conferences and events on subjects including class ratemaking, individual risk rating, reserving, and professionalism. 

He now manages the family property portfolio and occasionally writes on risk management topics with the intention of helping his readers understand industry perspectives and how they can maximize the value they get from their insurance dollars.  He and Cynthia Meyer live in NJ with their teenagers.
